"I don't have time to plan my meals."

  • Budgeting, planning and grocery shopping is a great way to teach your kids about the “real world” so get your kids involved!
  • Decide which recipes you would like to cook for several meals.
  • Before going to the grocery store: check your fridge, check your schedule, ask your family what they'd like to eat.
  • Sort your grocery list according to type of food: produce, meat, dairy, and dry goods.
  • Buy produce that can be added to many different meals, so the leftovers from one recipe won't go to waste.

Check out the meals plans on this site. Take out your phone or a piece of paper, and jot down dinner ideas for the next three nights. Use that next time you shop.
