"How do I start feeding my baby?"

  • Babies should be breast-fed every three hours (more if needed) or given a bottle of formula as often as directed by your doctor.
  • Babies are ready for other foods between 4 and 6 months.
  • Until babies are 12 months, their main source of nutrition is breast-milk or formula.
  • Never leave a baby by herself with food.
  • Good first foods (mix with water, breast milk or formula only): iron-fortified cereal, oatmeal, banana, avocado, sweet potato
Try This

Mash half a banana for baby's breakfast and eat the other half yourself.
