Does eating late at night bad for you?

Save

Hi there and thank you for your question!

Having a light snack can be ok, but eating a large meal within a couple of hours of bedtime may affect the quality of your sleep (1). Getting enough quality sleep can help support healthy brain function and protect our physical health and safety (1). In children and teenagers, sleep also supports healthy growth and development (1).

Check out our Lifestyle page for more tips on how to set yourself up for a good night sleep.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Anna Ng, RD
