Is soy good for you? I’ve heard it’s good for women

Hello there and thank you for your question!

Some debate remains on whether soy is “good” for you, but it is generally a good source of nutrition. Soy is rich in protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals and is also an excellent plant-based alternative to red and processed meat. Although there are still conflicting conclusions about soy, recent studies suggest soy can have beneficial or neutral effects on different health conditions and can be safely consumed in moderate amounts.1 If you have an underlying health condition (specifically hypothyroidism), I encourage you to seek advice from your healthcare provider to discuss if soy is safe and appropriate for you to consume.

Soy can be found in many foods, but the most nutritious forms of soy come from natural and minimally processed sources such as tofu, tempeh and soy milk. Try soy foods in a few of our most popular recipes:

Hope this helps!
