Try this refreshing pasta dish to incorporate more whole grains into your diet.
What you'll need
Sharp knife
Vegetable peeler or zester (if using lemon zest)
Small bowl
Whisk or fork
Ingredients
1 pound Whole Wheat Pasta
1 tablespoon Lemon Zest optional
1/3 cup Basil chopped, optional
2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated, optional
Directions
1.Boil pasta with salt according to package directions
2.Zest the lemon (optional) before juicing. In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, grated
parmesan (optional), chopped basil (optional) and lemon zest (optional) with small whisk or fork.
3.Toss lemon mixture with pasta.
