Slow Cooker Polenta

Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Crockpot (slow cooker)
Whisk or fork
Wooden spoon

Ingredients

Serves 8
2 cups Cornmeal or of Polenta
6 cups Water
1 tablespoon Salt

Directions

1.

Grease the bottom and sides of the slow cooker with oil or butter.

2.

Whisk the cornmeal (or polenta), water and salt together in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 4-5 hours, stir one time half-way through.

3.

Get creative and add some flavorings. For example, stir in a spoonful of canned pumpkin before cooking, or top with parmesan cheese after it’s finished.
