Iraqi Tomato Soup with Okra

- Medium saucepan
Directions

In a medium saucepan, sauté the garlic in oil over medium heat until starting to soften. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the tomato sauce and bring to a boil. Add the okra and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Season with salt and add lemon juice. Simmer for 10 more minutes.

Serve as a soup or poured over brown rice.
