Oats are a great source of fiber that helps keep you full.

What you'll need

Cutting board
Crockpot (slow cooker)

Ingredients

Serves 4
3 cups Water or 4 1/2 cups Water if using pressure cooker
1 1/2 cups Steel-cut Oats
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
1 Apple cubed, optional

Video Directions

Slow Cooker Directions 6 hours

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.

2.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until oats are tender.

Pressure Cooker Directions 40 minutes

1.

Combine all ingredients inside the cooker, cover, and seal.

2.

Cook on HIGH pressure (manual) for 4 minutes.

3.

Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes. Carefully remove lid and stir. Leave the lid off to cool slightly and thicken before serving.

Chef's Tips

Top with other ingredients such as nuts, dried fruit, and/or honey.
