What are protein sources for vegans?

Save

Hello and thank you for your question!

There are many vegan sources of protein, such as tofu, lentils, chickpeas and most varieties of beans along with nuts, seeds and grains. Check out our Discover Foods pages to learn more:

Try one of our vegan recipes this week!

It can be challenging to get all the nutrients you need on a vegan eating pattern, but it is very possible to get adequate nutrition if planned carefully and thoughtfully. If you haven't already, I encourage you to talk to your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian who can work more closely with you to make you sure you are meeting your nutritional needs.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Anna Ng, RD
