Buying in Bulk

Buying dry goods in bulk is a great way to save money on foods you eat frequently and also an inexpensive way to try new foods, since you are able to purchase a very small amount.  If you haven't purchased bulk items before, it might seem intimidating. Here are the basic steps:
  1. Choose the food you'd like to purchase.
  2. Fill a container (either one you've brought from home, or a plastic bag provided by the store).
  3. Write the number of the item (displayed on the bin) on the twist tie or the container itself.  Stores provide pens so you can write it down.
  4. Seal your container.
