Have a chocolate craving or a sweet tooth?  This is a perfect recipe to provide a little chocolaty goodness as well as some healthy fats from avocados. Cocoa powder is made from crushed cocoa beans, the same beans used to make chocolate. Cocoa beans aren’t naturally sweet—the sugar is added in the chocolate making process.

What you'll need

Blender or food processor
Spatula or spoon
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Cutting board
Sharp knife

Ingredients

Serves 4
2 Avocados ripe, peeled and cubed
1 Banana peeled and cubed
1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup Milk or 1/4 cup Non-dairy Alternative
2 tablespoons Honey
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions

1.Mix all ingredients together in a blender or food processor until creamy and smooth. Adjust texture and flavor by adding more cocoa powder or milk.
2.Spoon into individual cups if you want to be fancy. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes (or eat right away if you can’t wait!).
3.Top with your favorite fruit or sprinkle some toasted nuts or coconut on top
