I had been on a low carb diet for 6 months, in the past week I have started to introduce carbs back into my diet. How much weight am I expected to gain and how can I lose this again without going low carb? Thank you

Hello and thank you for submitting your question!

The specific amount of weight you can expect to gain can depend on many different factors, which can make it difficult to predict. Although you may be able to lose weight with a different approach, many approaches that promise weight loss may not show results and often are not supported by strong scientific research. Decades of research shows a majority of people who engage in restrictive eating habits are more likely to regain the weight they lost.1 In addition, repeating a pattern of weight loss and regain can be very harmful to your health.2

The good news is that there are many safe and scientifically proven ways to improve your health regardless of weight loss, such as eating balanced meals, being physically active and getting a good night's sleep. Take a look at our Lifestyle pages for more!

Hope this helps!
