Hi there and thank you for submitting your question!
First of all, we all have abs! It is a muscle group we are all born with. Some people’s are visible and some people’s are not.
Now, year-round, but especially during the summertime, we are bombarded with media messages about changing our bodies to match the ideal that we see on the covers of magazines and on social media. These messages are more often than not, unrealistic and damaging.
You may want to ask yourself why you want to have this particular part of your features accentuated. Is it because you want to be healthy? The good news is that having visible abs is not an indicator of your health. There are many ways to take care of your body and your health, through gentle exercise, eating a variety of colors every day, and reducing your stress.
If your motivation is to gain value, worth, or acceptance, you are worthy of those things and more, regardless of whether your abs are visible or not.
I hope this helps!
