- Drink plenty of water: constipation is caused by dehydration in your colon. Drinking plenty of water will help to ensure water is not removed from your colon and make stools easier to pass.
- Eat plenty of Fiber-rich foods: I see you are eating broccoli and cauliflower - which are great sources of insoluble fiber (helps to keep stools formed). Try adding in foods high in soluble fiber to increase the amount of water in your gut and make the stool easier to pass - oatmeal, blueberries, apples, beans and nuts.
- Get moving! As long as your doctor says it is safe for you to exercise, physical activity is very helpful in keeping the muscles in your intestines moving. Here are some tips to help you fit in activity during the day.
